Our Story
The Teton County Sheriff’s Foundation was born from a clear and pressing community need. While our public officials have the will to increase law enforcement budgets, state-imposed tax limits make it impossible to bridge a critical funding gap with county funds alone.
With just one sworn officer for every 1,000 residents — far below the national average of 2.4 — our deputies are stretched thin. The consequence is longer response times and less time for the preventative work that keeps our community safe.
The Foundation was created to address this challenge head-on. We raise private donations, secure grants, and pursue other funding to ensure our law enforcement officers have the essential equipment, training, and personnel support they need. Working together, we can build a safer community for everyone who lives, works, and visits Teton County.
